Madaraka Micro-Finance is dedicated to helping entrepreneurial women who have no access to funding build businesses to enable financial independence.
Our target population is women who have an established small business, for whom the mainstream financial system is currently out of reach. Our members are women who have no options for accessing capital and most lack bank accounts.
Founded in Kasese, 2021, Madaraka Micro-finance builds on the legacy and proven model and simple idea that all people can lift themselves out of poverty through their own entrepreneurial spirit.
Madaraka Micro-Finance provides Microloans (starting at no more than UGX 350,000), financial training, and support to members. As part of our program, members open free savings accounts with commercial banks and make weekly deposits. We also report microloan repayments to credit reference Bureau (CRB), enabling our members to build their financial identity.
